Paint Stripping Processing

Evenly stripping a painted surface

[Suggested Models]

YVO4 Laser Marker

[Technique]

  • To prevent damage to the components , the spot size is enlarged and a high speed scan is performed to remove paint only.
  • Due to the hard quality of enamel, cation and other such paints, the Q-switch frequency is lowered and stripping is performed by breaking up and removing the paint.

[Examples of Marking]

The paint is removed without scratching the equipment.

Alumite Layer Stripping

[Suggested Models]

YVO4 Laser Marker

[Technique]

  • It is possible to perform alumite stripping even with a CO2 laser marker but depending on the film thickness of alumite, complete stripping may not be able to be performed. Because of this, a YVO4 laser marker is best.
  • The Q-switch frequency is set low, and by lightly carving the alumite layer and aluminum parts, light is diffuse-reflected making it appear to have been colored white.
  • Processing using a laser with a thin beam diameter will produce a finished marking with clear and sharp edges.

ITO Film Stripping

[Suggested Models]

YVO4 Laser Marker

[Technique]

  • Even with low power, stripping can easily be done and processing is comparatively easy to perform.
  • In order to allow for accurate stripping when performing isolation, frequency and scan speed settings are selected that won't produce gaps between pulses.
