ATTENUATOR
Optical component or shutter used to attenuate the laser beam intensity.
APERTURE
An iris, or small hole, used to transmit only the center of the laser beam.
A/O Q SWITCH
An Acousto-optic Q switch used to change the refractive index of a laser beam by applying ultrasound.
